Learn about the history and stories behind George Washington's home and the surrounding area! Costumed characters do the chores needed on this 1799 estate. Explore the 21 room mansion, slave quarters, stables,16 sided barn (designed by Washington), working farm with rare breed farm animals (similar to the ones that Washington kept), and gardens as they looked in 1799. Pick a spot on the grounds to enjoy the picnic lunch you bought and brought with you.
